The DPRK announced a test launch of a strategic cruise missile to test nuclear deterrence, Voice of Korea radio reported.
“In the morning of February 25, one of the missile units of the western region of the Korean People’s Army launched a strategic cruise missile into the West Korean Strait,” the report said.
As noted, the test site was visited by the country’s leader Kim Jong-un.
This is the fourth missile test in North Korea since the beginning of the year.
Recall that on January 25, the DPRK announced a successful test of a strategic cruise missile. The launch was carried out from the sea from under water.
And on January 6, North Korea launched a hypersonic missile towards the East Sea during a visit to Seoul by then-US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
